What independent means here
Each flip and each roll is independent: the coin has no memory. After five heads in a row, the sixth flip is still 50/50. The belief that a run is 'due' to break is the gambler's fallacy, and it is the single most common misunderstanding about randomness.
Are streaks a sign something is wrong?
