What each form does
UPPER and lower are mechanical. Sentence case capitalises the first letter of each sentence and lowercases the rest, which is what fixes an accidentally shouted paragraph. Title Case capitalises each word β English style guides differ on whether short words like 'of' and 'the' should stay lowercase, so check the result against whichever guide you follow.
Why did my capitalised names get lowercased?
Because sentence case lowercases everything after the first letter of each sentence, including proper nouns it cannot recognise. No case tool understands names. After converting a paragraph, check names, places and acronyms β those need restoring by hand.
Does changing case affect SEO?
Not for ranking. Search engines treat text case-insensitively, so a heading in title case ranks the same as one in sentence case. It matters for readability instead β and all-caps text is measurably slower to read, so avoid it for anything longer than a short label.
