Making the text readable
The classic meme look — heavy white text with a black outline, set in Impact — exists for a practical reason: it stays legible over any background, light or dark. Without an outline, white text disappears against a bright sky and black text vanishes in shadow. Keep captions short; two lines at most reads instantly, four does not.
Can I use any image I find?
Legally, no — most photographs are someone's copyright, and a meme format does not remove that. Widely circulated meme templates are usually tolerated in practice, but the risk is real for commercial use. For anything you are publishing on behalf of a business, use your own photographs or images licensed for the purpose.
Why does my downloaded image look different from the preview?
Because the preview is scaled to fit your screen while the export is rendered at the source image's full resolution. Text positioned by eye on a small preview can land differently at full size — check the downloaded file before posting it.
